Dark blue lakes and rivers, bubbling streams and large dams, forested mountain ranges, colorful rock formations, and a dense network of hiking paths. This is what the Eifel National Park evokes in me. Old ash, chestnut, and wild cherry trees share grounds with mighty oaks and beech trees. Wildlife is teaming, but you’ll have to be quiet and patient to spot a timid deer or woodpecker. Nature takes its time. Soothing and calm, like soft moss.
The Eifel Oak cowl is a reflection of these experiences. Streams and paths navigate across the cowl, forming an organic network of textured lines and open spaces. Come along with Eifel Oak on a woody journey and return home with a sense of accomplishment and awe.

The cowl features textured lace and is reversible. The main stitch pattern uses patterning on all rounds, but the pattern has a rhythm and is rather meditative.

For best effect, use a round yarn with good stitch definition. Yarn weights ranging from Fingering to DK would be suitable. As for colorways, I would recommend solid, semi-solid, speckled, or gradient (single skein or gradient set) yarns.

Do you like the Eifel Oak cowl? You might like those patterns too: The Poppy Path cowl, and the Ondulació cowl. For endless fun with rhythmic textured lace! Check them out!
