Here is a shaped cowl that uses a purl-background eyelet and a simple garter to create interest. To knit it, you’ll need roughly 250 yards of sport to dk weight yarn, as well as two size 6 circular needles, one 24” and one 20” (16” would probably also work). The simplicity of this pattern makes it a nice choice for variegated yarns.
