A warm, elegant, fairly close-fitting cardigan. If you make it short as I have done, it goes well over a dress. Here it has a dark main colour and a light pattern colour. On the sweater with the same name, it is the other way round.

Method: the cardigan is worked from the bottom up with as few seams as possible, Five steek stitches for
cutting open at the centre front and a buttonhole band with an i-cord edge, see below. The rounds begin
next to the steek stitches. The sleeves are worked separately and then the yoke and neck in one piece.

Shades: Mylla (A), Silver (B) 190g (6¾oz)

Needles: 3mm (UK 11, US 2.5) for ribbing at neck and cuffs, 3.5mm (UK 9/10, US 4) for pattern and bottom ribbing 325g (11½oz)

Tension (gauge): 21 sts × 28 rows in pattern on 3.5mm (UK 9/10, US 4) needles = 10 × 10cm (4 × 4in)

Other: markers, spare yarn for setting aside stitches, darning needle for fastening off ends, spare needles
for grafting, spare DPN for i-cord cast (bind) off, 8 buttons, xxmm diameter
