This is the first of several lady and angel blocks that will be coming along. Designed to be used in an afghan for a special young lady, though the angels could be incorporated for anyone. Works well in any worsted weight yarn.

The ribbon at the neckline could be substituted with your choice of items, a crocheted or i-cord would both work if you would like the ends to be invisible for a younger child, or tied in a bow like a ribbon. Eyes may be sewn on, or not. It is a very friendly, versatile square with some stitches that may be new to you. One that you can personalize in a way that will make it special for your intended receiver.
