Elephant Scarf - PDF Digital Knitting Pattern

Calling all elephant lovers! I’ve designed the perfect scarf for you, all you have to do is knit it using my easy knitting pattern.

The main part of the scarf is knitted straight and then seamed together using a mattress stitch. Part of the pattern can also be worked in the round, which means less sewing up! The legs, ears and tusks are knitted and then sewn on to the scarf.

It’s great for knitters who know the basics, as the pattern only uses knit, purl, increasing, decreasing and sewing up. It’s knitted using a Stylecraft Life Chunky yarn, but this can be subbed for any chunky yarn that has the same tension. The finished scarf is an adult size, but it can be adapted to be a smaller scarf to fit children too if you knit it using an aran or DK yarn.

See the second image in the listing for the materials needed, and find a full list below.. I’ve also included part of the pattern to show how it is written.

This knitting pattern won’t teach you how to knit, however my new book First Time Knits can take you from beginner to knitter and you’ll be knitting your own scarves in no time.
