Eleven Angry Sunrises
An experimental (but quite simple) shadow/illusion knitting scarf. Written for my “Fridays with Franklin” column for Makers’ Mercantile/Skacel Yarns.
The free recipe (it’s slightly looser than a pattern) is included in the linked article. If you are not experienced in the technique, the previous installment of the column includes a detailed discussion of shadow/illusion knitting and how it works.
The more disparate your two gradients of choice are, the wilder the potential color effects you will achieve.
The column deadline meant I ended my scarf having used most of two balls (one of each colorway) of Schoppel-Wolle Gradient, but I would happily have continued to make a longer scarf to see what other colors would have wound up together.
