A great stash-busting pattern for elf stockings (or newborn socks). Although I used Rowan Cotton Glacé you can use any oddments of yarn you have kicking around.

It’s a great starter project for a knitter trying to get their brain around sock construction, before embarking on an actual sock project - or the full size stocking pattern I’ll be posting next.

They work up so quickly I’m knitting 24 of them and will string them across the mantlepiece with a sweetie in each by way of an advent calendar. Eco-friendly and family-friendly too!
