The Eliana Purse, featuring a beautiful floral design, is wonderful as an everyday bag or as a project tote -- after all, what could be better than a crocheted bag for carrying your crochet projects!

To make the Eliana Purse, you’ll start by crocheting 13 Eliana Squares, which are then crocheted together to form the body of the purse. Next, the straps and the edging are crocheted directly around the top of the purse to help add structure and sturdiness. The pattern also contains brief instructions on how to add a fabric lining (with a pocket!), if you’d like.

The Eliana Squares can also be used separately to make a stunning blanket, cushion cover, or whatever else you can think of.

This Written Pattern Includes:

• The Prelude (beginning pages) - This includes important notes, yarn & color placement information, a color placement worksheet, starting & standing stitch instructions, special stitch & technique instructions, and more.
• Detailed instructions and lots helpful images all throughout the pattern.

Materials Needed:
For the Purse:

• DK yarn
• 3.5mm hook
• Scissors
• Stitch markers
• Yarn needle

If You’d Like to Add a Fabric Lining:

• Cotton fabric
• Embroidery thread (optional)
• Fabric marker
• Fusible interfacing (optional)
• Iron
• Pointy object (such as a pencil, pen, or chopstick; optional)
• Quilting pins
• Ruler
• Sewing machine (optional)
• Sewing needle
• Sewing thread
• Sew-on magnetic snap set (optional)

Size:
A finished square measures 5.25 in. across.

My finished purse measures 14.5 in. wide and 12 in. high (measuring down the center, not including the straps). The purse measures 11 in. from the top of the straps to the top of the bag (measuring down the center). The straps measure 20 in. long.

Depending on your tension, your squares (and purse) may come out bigger or smaller, even if you use the stated yarn and hook size. To adjust the squares’ (and purse’s) size, you can change your tension, yarn weight, and/or hook size.

Yarn:
For my purse, I used the following colors of Paintbox Yarns Cotton DK --

• Color A - Mustard Yellow (2 skeins, 274 yds.)
• Color B - Champagne White (1 skein, 137 yds.)
• Color C - Vintage Pink (2 skeins, 274 yds.)
• Color D - Rich Teal (4 skeins, 548 yds.)
