Eliot Zip-Up
The pattern is designed to challenge the experienced knitter who is comfortable working from multiple charts simultaneously, as well as performing decreases while staying in pattern. Illustrated instructions for zipper installation are included.
Preceded by a version for wee ones, this cozy heirloom sweater was upsized and tweaked to suit children from kindergarten into their early teens. It features a variety of aran cable patterns on both body & sleeves with a stand-up collar. It’s finished with a zipper through the body and a button closure at the neck. The sweater is worked seamlessly from the bottom up. Shown in size 8.

Two 1” buttons, 14.75 (16.75, 18.25, 19.25, 20.25)” separating zipper for shorter option^ or 16.75 (18.75, 20.25, 21.25, 22.25)” separating zipper for full-length zipper
^Shown with a 2-way separating zipper. I chose to use a zipper that hits below the button closure because my son does not like the feel of the zipper on his skin, but for a stiffer collar or extra warmth, instructions are also given for a full-length zipper.
