Notes From the Designer:
•This pattern was inspired by my friend Ella and a sweater dress that she has. I toned down the different textures in hers to one center cable panel that runs up the front, and a small stand-alone cable on each sleeve. The rest of the piece is knit in 2x2 rib, both to accentuate the cables and to emphasize the wearer’s figure. Shorter sleeves make this a transitional piece that can be worn through the fall, winter (with long sleeves underneath) and spring.
•All waist shaping in this pattern is handled by changing needle sizes to avoid interrupting the ribbing pattern, so no increases or decreases in the waist section!
•In order to give some structure to the dress, this pattern is knit from the bottom up in pieces and seamed together.
•Have fun pairing this piece with boots or leggings and show off your fun side!
•In order to show off the cable work, this piece is best knit in a solid or tonal color. When using hand-dyed yarns, make sure to alternate skeins every couple of rows to avoid color pooling.
•Pattern is in written form only.
