If you like glitter, then you’re going to like the Elz Scarf. An airy delight knit with a lace pattern with a fluffy strand of Mohair Delight and a strand of the glitter yarn Cocktail Deluxe from Go Handmade.

If you haven’t had the courage to knit a lace pattern yet, then you can safely try this lovely project. Elz is a great beginner’s project for lace pattern novices that need a pretty scarf with glitter in it for a festive outfit or something to wrap around their shoulders on a cold summer evening.

3 balls of Mohair Delight, col 01
5 balls of Cocktail “Deluxe”, col Gold
Circular needle US 15 (10 mm), 31.5’’ (80 cm)

Yarn qualities
Mohair Delight, Hobbii 50 % Mohair / 50 % Acrylic 1.8 oz (50 g) = 164 yds (150 m)
Cocktail “Deluxe”, Go Handmade 100 % Polyester 0.9 oz (25 g) = 98 yds (90 m)

Gauge
11 sts and 8 rows = 4’’ (10 cm) with needle size US 15 (10 mm) with one thread of Mohair Delight and one thread of Cocktail “Deluxe” held together and worked in pattern (rows 1-4 as described below)

About the pattern
The scarf is worked in a simple hole pattern with two threads: one thread of each yarn quality. It is a good beginner’s project if it is your first timing working hole
pattern.
If you want the scarf to be longer, just repeat rows 1-4 as many times as you wish to achieve the desired length.
