The knit kits come in 23 colors and are discounted right now in my online yarn shop Yarnz2go
The knitted Emeline top feels deliciously airy and wonderfully soft. The look is delicate and comfortable, the perfect combo for the summer. I guarantee you’ll love wearing it.
This project starts with an I-cord cast on that gets joined in the round. Then a staggered grouping of lacy polka dots which is featured around the neckline, the bottom edge and again around the sleeves. The shape is straight, so this will make for a great first sweater to knit. Knitted from the bottom up in the round then flat from the armhole up to the neckline. You then pick up stitches around the armhole and knit them in the round as well.
The sizes range from 36/38/40/42/44/46/48/50/52”. The top hangs straight down to the top of the hip bone with a loose comfortable fit. The length of the body ranges from 17.75” to 22” from the shoulders to the bottom edge, depending on the size you knit. The sleeves end at your elbows. Of course you can add extra length overall if you like, though more yarn will be needed.
The pattern is fully written and also includes a lace chart. The I-cord cast on and crochet detail for the shoulder seam are easy to do and outlined in great detail.
The crochet detail has been updated a bit 1) Insert hook into the front piece into 2nd st from the edge, pull yarn through. 2) Chain 4 sts. 3) Insert hook with attached chain stitches into 2nd stitch of back piece and pull yarn through. 4) Chain 4 sts. 5) Insert hook with attached chain stitches into next horizontal stitch of front piece and pull yarn through.
