Like a flock of birds collectively swooping through the air due to the small movements of each individual, the large, bold motif on these socks emerges beautifully from a series of smaller repeating sequences.

Emergent Properties Socks feature a front panel of bias-shifted slipped stitches that is mirrored on the left and right socks, as well as a complementary motif on the back of the leg.

They are constructed toe-up with a gusset, a reinforced heel flap, and a twisted-rib cuff. German short rows are used for the heel turn.
