Our first KAL (Knit A Long) will started on Friday the 19th of January and ended on the 9th of February 2018.

You will receive the pattern in 4 parts, a new section every Friday.

We have designed a beautiful and wearable shawl that is both fun to knit and pretty to wear. It will be in one color and made with 300 g of our amazing, soft, sustainable wool Önling No 2.

The pattern is simple and written so also the less experienced knitter can join. Every week you will receive a new exciting challenge, so there is a good chance that you will learn a lot of new exciting techniques and patterns.

We love to knit and we love when we do it with friends. With you. And therefore we want to try something new - knitting along together. We have created a new, beautiful pattern and split it into 4 sections. Every week for 4 weeks you will receive a new section. This way there is time to finish each section before the next instructions arrive. In the end you will have the entire pattern and a beautiful, finished piece of knitwear.

We have taken point of departure in a shawl that can be used in two ways, both as a classic shawl, and as a cape with a pair of snap buttons. Exactly as the Dia shawl from Favorite Knits 4.

The fun part is that will play a bit with some pretty and exciting techniques. We have emphasized that the result has to be beautiful and wearable, so we would love to use it when it is finished - so it is aesthetically balanced and not too wild. Among other things we are going to try out a few cable patterns, structural patterns and a nice finish. It is all simple and not too difficult, but not for beginners, so hopefully the more experienced knitters will also want to join and try out new techniques. The shawl is intended to be knitted in one color, but it can be enhanced with an I-cord edge in a contrasting color.

We hope you will welcome our “new girl in class” and we look forward to knit along with you. The knit-along will start on the 19th of January 2018, and the final section of the pattern will be available on the 9th of February 2018.
