Emmett is a fitted cardigan for boys and girls, sized from birth to 10 years and knitting up fast in worsted weight yarn. The only special skill needed is short rows for the collar (see pattern notes for full instructions).

Please note: If you want a sweater to go over several layers, consider making one size up.

Version 1 of the sweater has buttons every inch; version 2 has buttons every two inches. Version 1 has the raglan decreases close together, creating a visible “seam,” while version 2 has stitches between the decreases to make it less obvious. These are both purely a matter of preference, and you may mix and match as desired!
