Emrys is a Welsh name that means “immortal,“ and like the name suggests, this classic sweater will never go out of style. Whether it’s dressed up for a day out or dressed down for a day in (think cool mornings and pajamas on the porch), its thick cables and generous shawl collar maximize coziness. Knit from a lush, 100% wool yarn, this soon-to-be favorite was made for every day, every way, wear.

This cardigan is knit in one piece from the bottom up. It is divided at the underarms and knit separately to the shoulders. The sleeves are picked up from the armhole and shaped with short rows, then worked in the round to the cuff. The button band and shawl collar are picked up in finishing, and the collar is shaped with short rows.

The pockets are designed so that the cable pattern is knit on the pocket lining as well as the outside of the pocket.
