Pattern description from Wrap Style: “Always on the lookout for interesting garments that are easy to execute, Leigh Radford has designed this two-piece ensemble with her favorite laceweight mohair. Leigh’s ‘wrap’ is really two separate sleeves, one of which extends into a long, lightweight scarf that can be draped around the neck and shoulders with dramatic flair. The idea couldn’t be simpler, yet the garment is elegant enough for an eventing at the opera or a night of dancing cheek to cheek.”
Finished Size: Wrap: 11.25” (28.5 cm) circumference at widest part of upper arm, 12” (30.5 cm) wide at widest point of straight wrap section, and 112” (284.5 cm) long overall. Sleevette: 9.5” (24 cm) circumference at upper arm (will stretch to about 12.75” 32.5 cm circumference) and 13” (33cm) long.
Notions: Tapestry needle; coil-less safety pins or waste yarn for marking rows.
Notes from Wrap Style:
- The wrap piece is shaped to fit the right arm. To reverse the shaping so it can be worn on the left arm, work the decrease row to shape front edge of the left upper arm as follows: Work first 8 sts of the row as k2, p2 2 times, work in St st to last 9 sts, p2tog, p1, k2, p2, k2.
- The sleevette can be worn on either arm without making any changes to the directions.
