Endpapers Shawl
Pattern uses three separate colors of KPM (1 skein each color - 525 yards) for the main shawl body, and another 525 yards (3 skeins) of variegated KPPPM for the shawl edging.
Called for needles are all 24” (60 cm) circulars.
Finished measurements (after light blocking):
Width: 64” (162.5 cm)
Depth: 41” (104 cm)
From the pattern:
Hand-painted yarns tend to create horizontal lines of color as you work with them. Here we tilt that horizontal tendency on the diagonal with undulating increases and decreases along the border. This two-ply, Canadian hand-painted Merino has extraordinary color groupings, long-wearing strength, and a surprising amount of spring and cohesion. Watching the colors unfold, Elanor was reminded of the Italian marbled endpapers in sleek, leather-bound classics - hence, the name of this shawl.
