Beginner to Adventurous Beginner: This pattern is perfect for those knitters who are just beginning or have knit a project or two. Stitches include simple decreases and increases, color changes, and reading a chart.
Notes From the Designer:
I’ve always adored the Feather and Fan stitch! It’s simple, easy to memorize, and yet so lovely and elegant. It was one of the first stitches that I learned when I first started knitting. This gorgeous stitch, along with repeating color changes, results in a stunning wrap. We chose colors that have a vintage vibe and are reminiscent of a leisurely stroll through a secret, forgotten garden. I love the idea of overgrown vines, twisted limbs, and flowers out of control!

-
Gauge is not crucial but could affect overall size and yardage.
-
This pattern is a multiple of 18 stitches with a minimum of 36 stitches, so it’s very easy to adjust the width if you prefer to knit a thinner version for a scarf or a wider version for a throw.
-
The pattern repeat is marked in red on the chart.
-
To decrease the length, work fewer repeats of Body Rows 1-4 in each color before working the color transitions.
-
When alternating colors, carry the yarn up the side so to avoid having a bunch of ends to weave in later.
-
This pattern has a 9-stitch, Garter stitch border on each side. If you like, place stitch markers 9 stitches in from each side to mark this 9-stitch border.
