Essitam is scarf or shawl worked in a striped chevron rib pattern. It is created with two skeins of Rumor from A Verb for Keeping Warm and was designed to celebrate their new summer solstice colorway, Jubilant, which paired with Wisteria. Jubilant has greens and oranges and Wisteria is a lavender, so when they are combined with two-row fine stripes, the fabric has all three secondary colors. The combination is luminous and looks like a warm summer evening.

To make the long skinny version (shown in the photos) or the wider version, you will need one skein each of Rumor in colors Jubilant and Wisteria. To make a big shawl, you will need two skeins in each color. Kits are available here.

The photos show the long and skinny version.
