To fit hand circumferences:

Yarn: Positive Ease Pure Merino (100% merino wool; 400 m 437 yds / 100 g); 1 skein.
Sample (size 1) uses 1 skein of colourway Theory.

Alternative: approx. 190 (230) m / 208 (252) yds of fingering / 4ply weight yarn.

Gauge: 44 sts and 34 rounds = 10 cm / 4” in 1x1 Twisted rib in the round (see Techniques) after blocking.

Suggested needles: 3 mm (US 2½) circulars for small circumference knitting or double pointed needles (DPNs).

Notions: Stitch markers, stitch holder, tapestry needle.

Techniques used: Twisted rib, lace knitting, knitting in the round.

Notes: The mitts are worked from the bottom up in the round. After increases for thumb shaping, stitches for the thumb are held while the hand is completed. The thumb is then completed separately.
