Estonian Dream Shawl
The Estonian Dream Shawl is slightly asymmetrical in shape and design and features a beautiful old estonian willow stitch pattern. It is cast on at one wing tip with a few stitches and then simply knit into a widening triangle. The small lace border on all three sides is “knit as you go” and for added texture you may choose to include the optional nupps.
The pattern is easily adjustable in size by simply working more repeats of the main pattern.
Size of the pale blue sample shown: 45” wingspan X 20” deep and used approximately 380yd/350m of fingering weight yarn.
The lace pattern is easier than it looks, with patterning on right side rows only.
The lace pattern is charted only.
ERRATA: Chart E - rows 16, 20, 24 (all WS rows) should all end as; k1, double yarn over, k1, double yarn over, k1. (Columns 7 - 1 on chart)
Thank you to Kristin at Voolenvine Yarns for supplying the gorgeous yarn used for the sample shown here.
