This is an all-over Estonian Starflower pattern written and charted to have balanced edges when worked flat or in panels. Charts and instructions are also included if you want to work the pattern circularly.

It is hard to tell at first glance that the pattern uses nupps but they are there in abundance.

This stitch pattern can be used in various yarn weights and gauges but looks particularly beautiful in a cobweb weight wool. It is lovely for the centre of an extra-special shawl.
