ÉTUDE - noun. a musical composition, usually instrumental, intended mainly for the practice of some point of technique. This name seems to be appropriate for this design which combines both techniques: stranded colorwork & cables .

A classic pattern to practice your skills and perfect your talent, whether musical or not ! …and why not do it while listening to Chopin’s Étude op. 10 no. 3.

In addition to the knitting pattern, you will need the following materials to knit the Étude socks (ALSO AVAILABLE AS A KNITTING KIT ON BISCOTTE YARNS WEBSITE)

• Biscotte Yarns BIS-SOCK color Nature (B) : 10 (12) g and color Charbon (C) : 10 (12) g

• Circularor DPN’s needles of 2.5 mm; US #1.5 (or size needed to obtain gauge)
