Notes From the Designer:
•Knitting for spring and summer often means lighter weight yarns and airy, drapey fabrics. That’s why Etude no. 2 focuses on lace! Knit on the bias, this wrap features alternating sections of easy lace and garter stitch in different sizes for a piece that’s fun to knit and wear!
•Turkish stitch is one of the simplest lace patterns, so it’s a great way to start knitting lace, and creates a beautiful open fabric that’s perfect for warmer days.
•Knit this wrap in two colors to highlight each stitch pattern, or go with one color throughout for a more subtle look. This is also a great pattern for playing with color!
•Each etude also includes a musical selection to enhance your knitting experience. For this piece, try listening to The Butterfly Lovers Violin Concerto by Gang Chen and Zhanhao He. It’s a beautiful, light piece that makes the listener think of warm, sunny days and butterflies chasing each other through a meadow. It’s just the thing to shake off the drab of winter and usher in a new season.
•Includes a video tutorial.
