Euphoric Shawl
I designed Euphoric to cheer me up after a long stint of holiday knitting. I put in my favorite elements of shawls. It is a top down triangular shawl, full of texture. I enjoyed knitting it up so much! I had to give it a name to describe how I felt, as what I had been picturing came to fruition in front of me. I am in the process of writing up the pattern for a matching beanie, and soon after, fingerless gloves!
I chose a heavy fingering weight yarn, that is a Silk/Camel blend, it had such a rustic look, yet so soft to work with and wear. You can use any weight of yarn you wish, but keep in mind it will affect your yardage.
FINAL MEASUREMENTS: 66”(in.) wingspan, 24”(in.) deep.
Materials: 2 skeins of heavy Fingering weight, or a sport weight yarn . I used Sapphires-N-Purls Silk Camel in the Olivia colorway. 70% Silk/30% Camel (378 yds/345 m per 113 grams).
I used approximately 567 yds/518 m
Size 5(3.75 mm) 32”-40” circular needles to help hold all stitches.
4 Stitch markers. 1 Tapestry needle to weave in ends.
Gauge: 4 in = 28 rows/19 st. Blocked stockinette
