Susanna says “These pieces are anchored with basic ribbing, which flows seamlessly into the lace pattern. The lace pattern is easy to knit, quick memorize, and its texture looks great on both sides.” A perfect combination for a lady about town.

My project notes: I love all things Art Deco, so when I received the call for submissions asking for designs based on that amazing style, I was thrilled. The beautiful, flowing lines combined with strong geometrics in art and architecture of that time never fail to inspire me.

I wanted to design a set of accessories that would work for today, yet incorporate the lines and textures of Art Deco. This simple and easy-to-knit lace pattern does both - it has beautiful lines and interesting texture. Most importantly, the pattern looks great on both sides, which makes it a perfect choice for a scarf or a cowl. I chose an infinity cowl for versatility and paired it with a slouchy hat for a fun and modern look
