This pattern is designed as a first project for someone unfamiliar with entrelac. Necessary skills are knowing how to knit, purl, decrease and pick up stitches.

Recommended yarns are Noro Silk Garden, Crystal Palace Mochi Plus, or any other Aran weight self-striping yarn with long color runs. Three skeins is sufficient for a standard to longish length scarf.

The pattern has line-by-line instructions along with two schematics for added clarity.
