Named after Evelyn Carnahan from The Mummy, this blouse/dress is inspired by the elegance and quiet strength of the film’s heroine, particularly the graceful black dress she wears. With vintage flair and a timeless silhouette, the Evelyn Blouse/Dress is designed to feel both powerful and feminine. Whether worn as a flowing maxi or a simple blouse, it brings a sense of story, adventure, and understated glamour to your handmade wardrobe.

The Evelyn Blouse/Dress is worked top-down, beginning with a V-neck knit flat. After the neckline is shaped, the piece is joined in the round at the bust. A twisted rib section forms a “belt” that continues until the waistline. From there, the pattern includes instructions for five lengths (blouse, mini, knee, midi, and maxi) and two skirt styles (straight or flared). The design allows for versatile customization in both style and fit.
