There were audible gasps at my house when I opened the parcel of mini-skeins from The Knitting Goddess. The twelve beautiful 10g hanks in the most stunning shades of blues were almost too gorgeous to wind. After much playing around, I decided they simply couldn’t be separated and needed to be the star of the show. The basic premise of a half hap shawl, with its plain central panel and rippled edging seemed to be the perfect pairing.

1 set of The Knitting Goddess 4ply Wool and Nylon (75% Wool, 25% Nylon) in mini skeins in Blues 16W (12 gradient 10g skeins in total) – CC1-12
4mm (US G) hook
5mm (US H) hook

Tension
20 sts and 24 rows in double crochet in the back loop only to 10 cm/4 in using 4mm hook (or size needed to achieve tension)

Construction
Started at the centre neck edge the central panel is increased at each end and the centre to give a triangular shape. The edging is worked in a ripple with a similar increase pattern and each row worked in a different colour.
