Transport yourself to the southwest desert with the Evening Mesa Blanket. The unique shape of this blanket is created by working narrow strips in garter stitch with increases along one edge and decreases along the other to create parallelograms.

This pattern includes detailed written instructions and an assembly diagram.

Substitution Notes
Choose a worsted weight yarn with easy care instructions. While a wool blend or superwash wool makes the colour changes easy and minimizes the number of ends to sew in (because of the spit splicing technique), an acrylic blanket will be easy to launder.

Techniques
Increases/decreases, cable cast on, picking up stitches, no seams, modular knitting, spit splicing (optional).
