(Understanding garment’s construction, choosing size, checking for custom fit adjustments and planning colours to finalise your individual required yardage, and swatching advice is in this post.

Yarn:
Made with Scheepjes Wooly Whirl/Whirl/Whirlette
Combine solid colour with gradient or make it all gradient or all solid colour.

The pattern is written to combine the gradient yarn with the solid colour yarn and embellish the sleeves with slip stitch embroidery (see yardage last photo of pattern listing), but you can opt to make it all in gradient or all in solid colour, with or without the embroidery. (See yardage below)

Hooks:
A 3mm hook (or the size required for gauge) is used for everything except a few rounds of neckline edging (which is worked with a 2.5-2.75mm hook).

Yardage for Colour Planning Variation 1 & 2 are shown below Sizes XS (S: M: L: XL: 2XL: 3XL: 4XL: 5XL) will need:

  • Gradient yarn only:

3 (3: 3: 4: 4: 4: 5: 5: 5) cakes of Scheepjes Woolly Whirl or Whirl (1000m/215g/cake)

  • Solid Colour only:

6 (6: 7: 7: 8: 9: 9: 10: 11) balls of Scheepjes Woolly Whirlette or Whirlette (450m/100g per ball)
