Evergreen Sweater
The Evergreen Sweater is knitted from the bottom up in a simple construction. The pattern is easy to follow and written in beginner-friendly language. First, the body is worked in the round on a circular needle up to the armhole, which is shaped by knitting the front and back pieces separately. On both the front and the back, stitches are bound off for the neckline, after which each shoulder is worked separately. Finally, the shoulder stitches are sewn together using mattress stitch, after which stitches are picked up along the neckline for the neckband and along the armholes for three-quarter length sleeves. When you knit the Evergreen Sweater in Cloud, the stripes will become wider on the sleeves because the circumference is smaller than when you knit the body. The stripes are also different when you knit back and forth compared to in the round. This gives your project a beautiful play of colors and makes it lively.
