Every Little Bit
This is an asymmetrical shawl featuring a lace edging. It uses nearly every little bit of a skein of fingering weight. It is deceptively simple and goes very quickly! You’ll cast on a small number of stitches and keep going until it’s the size you like, or until you’re just about out of yarn.
Finished Size: 20” depth, 54” wingspan
Yarn: Chaos Fiber Co. Variegated Merlin (80% Superwash Merino Wool/20% Nylon), 420 yards/113g. Sample knit with Whispers of Spring. Sample used 112g.
Needles: 32” circular needle, size 5 US (3.75mm), or size to obtain gauge.
Gauge: 20 stitches/24 rows per 4 inches in unblocked stockinette stitch; 18 stitches/22 rows in blocked stockinette. Gauge is not critical for this item but will affect size, yardage used, and drape.
