Pay what works
Knitting is not only a creative and relaxing occupation, in times as these it also is invaluable as a sort of therapy, an opportunity to make enriching encounters and come together with other knitters. Last but not least, it’s a wonderful way to make your own sustainable wardrobe.
In order to make my knitting patterns accessible to everyone, regardless of their financial situation, I now offer a “Pay What Works” scheme. Description
The Everyday Tee, is a casual short- sleeved top with a rounded neck that works with every outfit. The yarn options for this top are endless, depending on the style you wish to create.
The summer version pictured above is knit using a tweeded cotton, which creates a light and airy top, perfect for the warmer months of the year.
The Everyday Tee is worked from the top down, all in one piece and with raglan increases. Once the neckline binding is finished, the neckline is further formed with short rows. The raglan increases are worked gradually first only on the front and back, in order to create the saddle shoulders, then on all parts of the upper body. Then, at the armholes, the lower body and sleeves are worked separately, ending with a twisted rib binding mirroring the neckline binding.
The advantage with working the Everyday Tee from the top down, is that you can very easily adjust it to a desired length that works best for you.
