A nod to retro blankets, this is a timeless design. Cleverly placed join-as-you-go motifs, facing different directions, transform the classic granny square into a zigzag showstopper! Created in Cotton-based yarns with a soft halo, it’s equally suited to picnics or wrapping up on the sofa.

Pattern notes
Twenty-seven diagonal rows of granny st motifs are worked to create zigzag pattern; see Schematic: Blanket Rows. Blanket Motif is made (it will form the first row of the 27 total). All foll motifs are joined as you go and are based on Blanket Motif patt; slight variations are to give clear joining instructions that depend on the motif position in Blanket and its respective Blanket Row. Motifs are joined from right to left side of Blanket. Or, make separate motifs and stitch tog (you may require extra yarn).
