Exquisite Corpse Cowl
Pattern for August 2017 SAK Club.
If you wish to make the cowl longer, you could easily do so by adding one or more repeats to any of the sections. The only caveat when doing so is that you’ll want to be sure that you end each section in a way that will allow you to transition smoothly into the next section. Adding a sixth repeat of the cables is the easiest way to do this, but adding to the lace or slipped stitches is also pretty intuitive.
Yarn usage for the sample:
Chart A (Slippity Slope): 30g for the entire section
Charts B & C (Leaning Lace & Lace-to-cable transition): 14g total
Chart D (Cables): 5.5g per repeat; with Chart E (Cable-to-lace transition), the five cable repeats added up to 30g total
Chart F (Leaning Lace redux): 14g total
