The Extension cowl
This cowl as the name says does grow in literally six extensions from the frilly neckline down to the bottom edge.
It starts with a Picot cast on in a soft Chenille yarn, then it grows in an ever growing rib pattern in a variegated yarn to the very end and then finish the bottom edge with both yarns held together.

The pattern is fully written.
The dimensions are 18“ in overall length and 64“ around the bottom edge.

Yarn
C1- Chenille, a bulky weight mini skein with 22 yards.
C2- Aran in color, an aran weight. 132 yards a skein. 2 skeins needed.

Notions needed
US size 13 (9 mm) ci.rcular needles. One 16” (42 cm) and another 32” (82 cm) in length.
Stitch marker.
Tapestry needle or crochet hook for finishing.

Gauge
10 sts and 13 rows in 4” of stockinette stitch with C2 yarn.

Techniques applied
Picot cast on, knitting and purling in the round, increasing, binding off with double strand of yarn, weave in ends.
