The first pattern I designed for Cast On was a skirt. I had so much fun knitting that child-sized skirt that I wanted to give it another try—but for adults this time. When I design, I think of all the different patterns and stitch combinations I like and see how they can work together. Initially I wanted to do a mosaic zigzag, but as I began to knit, I liked the look of the chevron much better (it’s also similar to how my name is spelled and pronounced, lol). Once I knew I would be using a chevron stitch, I set about looking for the perfect color combinations to make the pattern shine. After searching various websites, I found my colors and cast on. Watching the colors play together was such a joy as I knit each round. I hope you enjoy knitting it as well.
