Sometime you just want some simple finger-less mitts.

These can usually be made with the yarn left over from making an average woman’s pair of socks. Assuming average is a size 9. So you can feel frugal since you are not wasting yarn and getting two projects from the same yarn. Or you can make these and then the socks but that feels too much like yarn chicken to me.

These will fit the average hand with a 7.5” palm. If you need a smaller size, I recommend going down a needle size.

My gauge runs a bit short so don’t give your self fits trying to get there. It’s not a sweater so a taller row gauge shouldn’t do more than give you a slightly longer glove and use a bit more yarn.

This pattern is written for the magic loop technique. If this is new to you, it’s worth learning. There are many tutorials out there on how to do this. I like this one.
