Fabian and Fabian Redux
Fabian Redux is an update version of Fabian. The Redux version was needed because the original yarn was discontinued, and even though it is now back, the colors are very different. In Fabian Redux there is a main color worked in cashmere and contrasting colors in silk noil. Choose a main color and then choose three contrasting colors. The three contrasting colors should be the same hue and lighter, similar to, and darker than, the main color. When worked in Ito Karei with Ito Kinu, the scarf is light and airy.
For the orginal Fabian in Making Marls:
Fabian is made from three colors to make three marls. The form is a 1x1 parallelogram using sequence knitting, so the fabric hangs on the bias.
The yarn is Shibui Pebble, a lace yarn made in Japan. It has a tweedy look and a touch of cashmere, and the two-strand fabric is soft and light.
The working yardage is 600 yards and the dimensions of the sample are 9.5 x 86 inches (24 x 218 cm).
Any errata will be published at the Friends of Cecelia Campochiaro group.
