Faded Love Shawl
This shawl had a mind of its own and simply wanted to be.
I was designing something completely different when this came to life and with its vintage feel and a new colour palette it reminded me of a well loved piece that has faded over time and so the Faded Love Shawl was born.
Made with a lovely lacy shell pattern (which is easy to do) and a more intricate lacy edging, this shawl would look beautiful in an array of colours and feels feminine and elegant.
Suitable for an advanced beginner who is comfortable with working with a lighter weight yarn and using chains, slip stiches, single, double and treble crochet.
Details
Designed as a shawl though you can also wear it as a large triangle scarf.
If you wish to complete the example size it is approximately 170cm (67 inches) wingspan and 80cm (31 1/2 inches) from the top to the centre point.
Centre top out construction so you can stop when it gets to your desired size or you run out of yarn.
Skill Level: Easy - Intermediate
Stitches used: double magic circle, ch, sl st, sc, dc, tr.
Yarn: any fingering weight yarn.
I used Bendigo Woollen Mills 4 ply cotton in Parchment, Glacier and Orchid colourways.
