This light-weight poncho is the ideal companion garment for any women’s wardrobe, flattering for any body shape and practical to wear.

The beautiful lacy fading leaves pattern and wavy leaf edging are mirrored for the back. Glass beads (optional) add a little bit of weight for a nice drape of the fabric and sparkle as the garment is moving (beads are added as you go).

The garment is worked as two rectangles that are joined with a 3-needle bind-off and a short shoulder seam leaves an opening for the head.

Pattern is written out and charted.

Notions: Stitch markers, 3rd needle for bind-off, tapestry needle

Optional:

  • 732 (~42g) size #6 silver-lined glass beads
  • steel crochet hook, size 0.75 mm to place beads on stitch

Skills: Stockinette stitch, k2tog, ssk, yo, p2tog, M1, 3-needle bind-off, mattress stitch.
