Fair Isle Neck Warmer
Very satisfying stranded Fair Isle work, using worsted weight yarn.
3 different motifs are repeated twice.
The sample shown is knitted with Hikoo “Tenzado”. This yarn has 2 shades in one color (gives really nice depth in the pattern :) and very easy to work with Fair Isle knitting.
Any worsted weight yarn works well for this project. Please choose one background color and 2 contrasting colors.
YARN
Any lighter worsted weight yarn works for this project.
If your gauge is - 6”/1”, it will be 22” circumference.
If your gauge is - 5.5 /1”, it will be 24” circumference.
The yardage above is a total of 3 colors.
MC - 75 yards.(Background color)
CC - 60 yards (Darker) + 45 yards (Lighter)
NEEDLES
US #5 or #6, 16” long circular needles.
Fair Isle knitting shows pattern work better with slightly tighter gauge.
