Pattern No. 1 in the Latvian Fusion Sock Club.

The central motif for the border of these socks is the Latvian sun symbol. This particular variation of this symbol also reminds me of a Ferris wheel, hence the name “Fairground”.

A symbol for optimism and the source for reinvigorating all life, it contains within it the joy and pleasure of a day at the fair.

These socks are worked from the top down with a stranded colourwork border, round heel and wedge toe.
