The pattern is worked the same for all sizes using different needle size to change gauge.

Needle size & tension/gauge
34” = 3.25mm (UK 10) & 3.75mm (UK 9), gauge - 26st to 4”
36” = 3.75mm (UK 9) & 4mm (UK 8), gauge - 24st to 4”
38” = 4mm (UK 8) & 4.5mm (UK 7), gauge - 22st to 4”

Yarn amounts (of suggested Motoravia DK)
34” = MC 14oz, CC 4oz
36” = MC 15oz, CC 4oz
38” = MC 16oz, CC 4oz

When working the FairIsle the wool should be stranded evenly and loosely across back of the work.

The wool suggested by the pattern is called ‘Double Knitting’ but has a tension nearer to Worsted.
