Fairy Floss: Matinee Coat
Fairy Floss: Matinee Coat is on pages 22 to 25 in the book Easy Knits for Kids. It is illustrated on page 23. The book published in Australia contains instructions for knitting in 4ply yarn or 6ply yarn with no mention of specific brands. The individual pamphlets published in the UK have the same instructions, suggesting the use of 4ply or DK yarns, made by the firms named on the leaflets. In these the pattern name is given simply as Matinee Coat.
Two needle sizes are used - the smaller for the rows of stocking stitch at the start of each piece which get folded in to form the picot edgings.
