Fairytales
A whimsical and heartfelt creation, designed especially for long-term team members affectionately known as “Sunshine Fairies.” Each stitch in the blanket represents the magic, dedication and quiet strength these amazing ladies bring to the team.
Fairytales is more than just a blanket – it’s a tribute. It celebrates the journey, the loyalty and the special kind of warmth only Fairies can provide, wrapping them in appreciation and a story that continues to grow with each passing year.

Pattern Information:
Fairytales is a repeat blanket (the pattern works through a set amount of rounds and then repeats itself). You will make your centre square then work to the end of Round 20 of the pattern. Thereafter, you will repeat Rounds 7 – 20 until your blanket is the desired size. The border can be added at two points of the repeat, either after Round 14 or after Round 20.

The pattern includes the Delilah and Charmaine squares which can be used for the centre of the blanket. Alternatively, you can select a square from the Hooked on Grannies collection, I would suggest one of the more flowery squares. The squares are interchangeable and will become the centre of your blanket and you will crochet the pattern around it.

The yarn instructions given in the pattern info above are for the blanket made with ColourSpun Scintilla DK.
The rainbow coloured Fairytales was worked with a 4.5mm hook.I used 4 yarn cakes to make a 120cm x 120cm (including the border) blanket in the Ushaka colourway. I did colour control so probably used a bit more yarn than was necessary for this size blanket. Yardage for one cake is 300g (1080 metres).

It uses US terminology and is worked in rounds.

Skill level - Easy peasy, with a few tricksy spots.

Material list:
➢ Any yarn of your choice – I used ColourSpun Scintilla DK,
50% bamboo 50% cotton (50g/125m).
➢ 3.5mm hook or hook compatible with yarn used.
➢ Needle for sewing in ends and needle join.

In the prelude (beginning pages) of the pattern you will find detailed stitch tutorials, yarn quantities used, the two colourways and many many more bits of useful info!

You are more than welcome to work the blanket in any yarn of your choice. However, depending on the yarn and tension, you may have a size difference.
