Fala Shawl
The Fala Shawl by Maia Discoe of Maia Knits is the newest pattern from the Acorn Design Collective - a group of local indie designers brought together by The Black Squirrel for publishing help and resource sharing. It features a worsted weight self-striping yarn paired with a solid color, creating striking graphic stacks of stripes. It also has a special decorative cast-on created by Maia, and she’s created a helpful tutorial for it on our blog as well!

This shawl would be great worked in any worsted weight wool or wool blend yarn. The contrast color would also be great with handspun striping yarn or a gradient made from leftover yarns!
