Fall Angles Scarf
This scarf is a fun stashbuster that will lend itself well to whatever color choices you prefer. I knit mine in a beautiful silk variegated yarn pared with a merino solid in fall colors, but you could make this scarf over and over and have options to spare. Gather all those random single skeins you didn’t know what to do with, pick a color (or fiber) combo you love and cast on!
Finished Measurements:
Approx. 10 1/4” x 80”
Gauge
As measured after washing: 15 1/2 sts and 14 rows = 4”
(Gauge is approximate and not crucial, but when mixing fibers, you should swatch to make sure you get a fabric you like. The silk shown adds drape and a looser gauge than the merino.
Requires:
2 colors of yarn
US Size 9 needles
Stitch Holder
Stitch marker
Darning needle
Ravelry’s yardage listed for the suggested yarns is different from the yardage in my stash skeins. If you choose a solid and a variegated for your scarf, please note that you will need 300 yds of the solid color and 400-450 yds of the variegated yarn.
This pattern was written as a fun project to use up stash in yardages that most knitters would have on hand. It is easy to shorten the scarf by several inches if the yarns you want to use fall short of the yardages listed. For example, if you made a 60” scarf instead of 80”, you would still have a good length for wrapping around your neck.
